The Ladybug sustainable pod lands at Barrington Tops
A
new idea in sustainable living is being developed at the retreat.
Based on a ladybug concept this sustainable pod is half underground and
total self sufficient creating its own energy, food, water and
disposing of its own wastes.
The
pods are being developed by Sydney architect Chris Haughton of Shed
Archectural Studios in Surry Hills. Chris brings flair and creativity
to these 'living for the future' homes that are currently designed for
one couple, but on the drawing boards are ideas for two and three
bedroomed pods.

John's garden grows for master chef guests 
John's
organic garden will be in full flourish for the Master Chef guests in
October. Leeks, lettuce, beetroot, beans, brasicas and many other
healthy organic delights will be served to these most discerning of
guests who will be staying for 7 days and enjoying Sri Lankan food and
other specialities that Sharini creates from the proceeds of the garden.
Sharini specialises in Sri-Lankan curries and also finds it a pleasure to cook for vegan and vegetarian guests.
Many
people have special diets or food allergies. The Tops Organic
Restaurant caters for gluten free, lactose free and many other special
diets. Please let us know in advance so we can look after you.

Perfect pampering at The Tops
The Tops is a perfect place for pampering, whether it is having a
massage, soaking in a king spa, or just allowing the senses to
regenerate sitting on a balcony listening to the bellbirds, while
sipping on some Rosnay organic wine.
We
have been very privelidged in the past 3 months to be party to many
special days when 'that question' is popped. It is a great reminder
to us of the beauty of the retreat when guests return a year later
remembering the romance and once again allowing themselves to enjoy
being at one with nature and each other.
